Galatasaray launched their 2026-27 pre-season with double sessions at the Metin Oktay Facilities. The side, sitting top of Süper Lig with 30 wins, five draws and one defeat for 95 points, have lost two of their last five games.

How did the sessions go?

Under Okan Buruk, the morning workout focused on warm-ups, coordination and endurance drills. The evening session opened with dynamic warm-ups before shifting into three-group 8v2 passing exercises. The session wrapped up with small-sided games and finishing drills.

The squad will train again tomorrow before heading to Austria for a camp running until July 29, featuring a series of friendlies.

Where does Okan Buruk stand on readiness?

After two intense sessions, Buruk stressed the team’s physical and tactical sharpness. The manager said every detail is being fine-tuned so the players step onto the pitch fully prepared for the new campaign.

Galatasaray lead the league by 11 points but have dropped two of their last five matches. The Austria camp will give them tougher opposition to close gaps before the season restarts.

When does the Austria camp start?

Galatasaray’s camp in Austria runs through July 29. The friendlies there will test the squad’s fitness and tactics ahead of the first competitive fixture. With 91 goals scored and 31 conceded for a +60 goal difference, the yellow-reds aim to carry that momentum into January’s away trip at Gaziantep FK on January 17, 2027.
