Galatasaray continues its transfer activities with ongoing talks to bring Deniz Gül from Porto. The Turkish club is maintaining negotiations and has prepared an offer exceeding 12 million euros for the player.
The club currently sits atop the Süper Lig standings. With two wins and one draw from three matches, Galatasaray has collected 7 points, scoring 9 goals and conceding 4. This positive start is reflected in a +5 goal difference, visible on our standings page. Their recent WWD form shows a confident opening to the campaign.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano indicates Galatasaray's offer to Porto surpasses the 12 million euro threshold. This figure is significantly above the player's market value, listed at 5 million euros on Transfermarkt. Deniz Gül's contract with Porto runs until 2029, strengthening the selling club's negotiating position. The player has approved a move to Galatasaray.
The club continues to strengthen its squad after recently adding Rafael Leao. Galatasaray now appears focused on reinforcing the midfield area. Where a new player would fit into the current squad structure is a point of interest.
While maintaining their league leadership, the team aims to increase squad depth. The offer exceeding 12 million euros for Deniz Gül demonstrates the importance the club places on this position. The performance in the early weeks of the 2026-2027 season solidifies their championship credentials. Galatasaray, who host fourth-placed Rizespor on December 6, 2026, may want to complete the transfer process before this key fixture on our fixtures calendar.
Deniz Gül's contract until 2029 provides Porto with significant leverage. The Portuguese club can negotiate knowing there is no urgent need to sell. Galatasaray's offer being above market value increases the likelihood of a deal. Talks between the parties are ongoing, but no official agreement has been reached yet.
With the transfer window closing soon, Galatasaray's management is experiencing busy days. The team's successful performance in the league serves as an additional motivator to achieve their transfer targets. Süper Lig statistics can be followed on our stats page. The outcome of the Deniz Gül transfer will be one of the key steps determining Galatasaray's course for the remainder of the season.
