Galatasaray is renovating the problematic Rams Park pitch with new artificial turf. The club aims to complete the installation before the upcoming Champions League fixture against Barcelona.

The playing surface had been deteriorating since the start of the season, hindering the team's technical players and making things easier for opponents. The recent match against Kocaelispor highlighted the issue with erratic ball bounces and poor passing. Following that game, the remaining grass on the entire field was removed.

The new artificial turf will also be reinforced with artificial sunlight. The pitch's decline is primarily attributed to postponed summer maintenance due to cost concerns. Sitting top of the Süper Lig with 13 points from 5 games, Galatasaray will use this upgrade to better prepare for a key European tie. The team's form in the last five matches reads WLWWW.

The renovation process also encompasses the national team's schedule. Galatasaray supporters will see the new surface in action first when the team hosts 5th-placed Rizespor on 6 December 2026.
