The TFF Arbitration Board has unanimously rejected Galatasaray's objection to the 2026-2027 Turkish Cup participation rules. The club's formal appeal, submitted on 26 August, was dismissed after the board found no procedural or substantive violation in the executive committee's original decision.

The ruling confirms the regulation that allows players not registered for league matches, but eligible for the national team, to compete in the Turkish Cup. In the same session, the board also upheld a 280,000 Turkish Lira fine imposed on Fenerbahçe for fan-related stadium incidents, stating the penalty was appropriate.

Galatasaray currently sit second in the Süper Lig with 13 points from six matches, having recorded three wins and two defeats in their last five outings. The team's focus now shifts entirely to the league campaign. Final preparations for the Kasımpaşa match are underway in full intensity.
