Galatasaray will not rush the return of key defender Wilfried Singo from injury. The club's technical and medical staff have agreed that the 25-year-old Ivory Coast international will not play again until he is fully recovered from a blow sustained in training.

Club official Ali Naci Küçük outlined the cautious approach. "Wilfried Singo could return after the national team break, but they are being very meticulous now," he said. Küçük added, "They don't want the player's name to be constantly associated with injury."

The medical team shares this view. İbrahim Şeten noted the injury is in an area with a high risk of recurrence. "The doctors will not allow him to play until he is completely healed," Şeten stated. He said it remains unclear whether Singo will be fit for the derby against Fenerbahçe.

The presence of defensive alternatives is also a factor behind the decision. Singo is planned to return around the final weeks of October. His physical condition will be monitored daily, with a gradual reintegration into team training.

Galatasaray currently sit second in the Süper Lig with 13 points. With three wins and two losses in their last five matches (LWLWW), the team's next league fixture is at home against Kasımpaşa on 9 October. The latest squad status and injury reports will be decisive in the planning. The technical staff will wait for medical reports confirming Singo is 100% ready.
